For the first time, a hands-on video of the Vivo X200 Ultra has emerged on Chinese social media, which we believe is pretty authentic at first sight. It verifies numerous hints from the last few days, including the shutter button on the side and the Zeiss APO Vario branding on the camera. The movie also shows how thick the first 35mm Zeiss camera actually was.
To start the new week, it's worth looking into the latest Vivo X200 Ultra leak from China. Even though it's unclear whether the images above and below depict the final Zeiss camera flagship design for 2025, we believe these photographs and the movie included below are pretty legitimate.
The first photograph of a Vivo X200 Ultra test unit in bright red surfaced in China a few weeks ago, but now a new hands-on video has leaked and debuted on the social media app "Little Red Book," which has recently gained popularity outside of China as well. It was subsequently shared on Weibo, along with some slightly grainy hands-on photographs of the phone, which clearly reveal the "Vario-Apo-Sonnar" and "1.69-2.27 / 14-85mm ASPH" designations. The latter is entirely consistent with the rumored specifications of the first Vivo 35mm camera flagship, which have already been discussed by leakers and Vivo managers.
Hands-on video demonstrates big camera module and shutter release.
The images and video below demonstrate how thick the camera module of this no-compromise camera flagship actually is. With three roughly equal-sized 1/1.28-inch to 1/1.4-inch sensors, the module clearly requires a lot of room, especially because it also has 3x OIS and a brighter 200-megapixel telephoto camera. In these images, the camera hump appears to be nearly as thick as the smartphone chassis itself.
This silver Vivo X200 Ultra has a textured back panel that extends at least to the middle of the circular camera bump. The zoomable LED flash with a multispectral sensor is situated in the upper left corner. Meanwhile, the front features a quad-curved display glass and, sadly, an unresponsive screen. The new camera button on the right side allows you to conveniently trigger the camera. Last but not least, Vivo has already released some official sample images to demonstrate the image quality of the new 35mm Zeiss camera.
